By provoking performance initiatives, I invite others to intervene and enact through conversations or dialogue with either spoken or written word. My work takes form through escapism, the desire to disavow the state of the human condition as it exists and slip into a fantastical state of mind by means of play-acting with the world as its set.
I purpose a community, one that presents the possibility of conceiving a sense of freedom from the coding of the established collective. Within this community of emancipated individuals, a new language system based on parody and fictions comes forth from obscurity. Offering a parallel to what is practiced by society, by means of documentation, an inscription of possible subjective utopias is written. It is through the alteration of documentation of these journeys and events, via videos on the internet, that the product becomes educational and instructive for those who desire the celebration of the mundane and transitory in their autonomous spaces neither here nor there. |
