Surveillance, Memory, Society of the Spectacle
In an age where HD is hyjacking our worldly portals, known as television, crystal clear images provide an ever present social memory, an optical illusion that one is cohabiting the space portrayed within the channels. I purpose a new vision, or perhaps a return to a lost vision, emulating an autonomous memory, or a fragment of an everyday to day experience one may have that is not celebrated on such a grand level. By bringing the two visions together a hybridization occurs, one that utilizes notions of 'reality' tv, narcissism and intersubjective verification. |
